Let customers speak for us
from 313 reviewsI ordered the buttons on line and iwas very pleased with them when they finally arrived a week after I had ordered them. This was due to the inefficiency of the local Post Office that Wool on the Exe use. Despite paying postage when I placed the order I was charged a fee because the amount of postage on the packet was insufficient. This in no way reflects on Wool on the Exe but maybe use a more efficient Post Office.
This yarn knits well and doesn’t split

I used the wool to knit a stranded baby outfit. The yarn was smooth, with no imperfections, making knitting with it a pleasure.

Just finished a men’s jumper, so easy to knit with, as it’s so soft. I’ve just blocked it, and it’s a great shape. Doesn’t look home made . I would recommend.

The beautiful, bird inspired, sock wool arrived quickly from Wool on the Exe.

The little tin is perfect for my stitch markers - the lid slides off, but not too easily as it has enough traction to stay firmly in place. It's a delight to use & have as part of my tool kit. The sheep have character & are such apt images for yarn users.

This is brilliant when knitting on circular needles, so falling off! Timely purchase as I was just trying to adapt normal stitch counter by threading a cotton loop through the barrel!!

Lovely chunky yarn with beautiful colour range. Sea Anemone is a gorgeous range of dusky pinks and reds.

I haven't started working with it yet, but I love the feel and the colours (pale and dark purple). Plus the fact that it's 'Bio', of course. I appreciated learning about the strict standards applied for producers to get the green label. Can't wait to start knitting!

I've long been interested in learning how to do macrame and this workshop was a great way to learn the basics and get started. Tutor Jackie soon set us off on a small practise piece to give us some confidence before embarking on the main exercise of the morning and I think we were all suprised at how quickly our projects started to grow. I thoroughly enjoyed my morning and came away confident that I will be able to get cracking and explore the wide range of uses for this lovely craft.

Although I have an extensive collection of metal needles I’m now finding wooden ones more comfortable. These are warm to the touch and very smooth, I don’t have a problem with stitches sliding over the join, although I can see some might find it a problem, maybe it’s a tension issue. And to top it all they are so pretty.

Debbie and the Wool on the Exe staff go above and beyond for my elderly, but amazing knitter, mum! She is enjoying using her zings. I often use them myself and definitely recommend.
