I was drawn to the yarn colour on a visit to Wool on the Exe in the spring. Then I needed to find a suitable pattern. After some searching, I found a pattern for a delightful short-sleeve top. I bought 4 skeins but only needed two and a half! The yarn goes a long way, is beautifully soft, with few if any breaks or knots. And its environmental credentials are sound.
The pattern I chose is Anker's Summer Shirt (on Ravelry) - the yarn worked perfectly with this pattern, and came up true to gauge.
This yarn is so soft and easy to knit (especially on Knitpro symphony needles 😁). I have a daughter with sensitive skin who wanted a reproduction of a Kim Hargreaves pattern from her Pipsqueaks book, that I knitted her 20 years ago, aged 5. She wore it for years.
I’m so pleased with how it’s knitting up on 3.25mm needles and the colours are almost exactly the same as her original one.
It’s the perfect yarn for all year round, but especially spring and autumn. Warm, but not too warm and so soft.
I especially love it’s eco credentials which attracted me first.
Just finished knitting 'Twenty in April' with this yarn. Lovely and soft to knit with. Will definitely use it again.
Could not have asked for a better yarn. Used a 2mm needle.. I am a loose knitter! Knitting an elephant! It is soft.... quick to knit with and great stitch definition. The cotton adds an extra luxurious feel to the yarn as it runs through your fingers yet it feels strong and fibres do not "pull away". It is ethical and not expensive ...... I seriously need more!!
This is a lovely soft yarn, which is knitting up very nicely for a spring/summer cardigan. My only criticism would be that the colour in the photograph is not very accurate (this may be my I-pad screen) I was expecting a buttercup yellow but it is more of a honey colour. I do like it though very much
