Let customers speak for us
from 558 reviewsSuch a great idea to offer this means of supporting the community work done by these marvellous people, and getting something back for my self too! What’s not like? Very glad to be part of it all.
My knitting knowledge is limited, but from the moment l arrived l felt that l was capable of learning and guess what l did. I found the small group, the instructions and the relaxing atmosphere easy to learn. I now feel confident in going alone and risking a more adventurous project. Would recommend.
I love having an annual membership at Wool on the Exe. When I am stuck, or just going through a tricky bit in a knitting project I will pop down to the shop, have a cuppa made for me and the ladies their will help, encourage and support me as I improve my knitting skills.
If I need some inspiration I can peruse their wonderful and comprehensive library and borrow any titles …and what’s more I get 10% off purchases.
It’s an absolute bargain!!
Easy to thread, these needles are ideal for weaving in ends when you've got a chunky yarn.
The range of colours is delightful. Pastel colours, vibrant almost neon colours & strong dark yet bright colours. I bought a selection of pastel colours with a darker one to create a tapestry square - just for fun so as to play with colours, experience a new to me yarn blend & technique. It’s economical enough to experiment with yet very good quality - I’m a firm believer in using good quality materials for practising.
This will be the second project I’ve knit with this. My sister’s birthday present. Its soft has a lovely subtle sheen which stays.
I’m a self taught knitter and Jackie gave me several very helpful tips.
Small friendly group, a very pleasant morning

The yarn feels soft and the colour (free spirit) is lovely for a summer knit.
Just wanted to support Wool on the Exe so happy to buy membership. Discount will be a bonus but was not the motivation.
I haven’t knit with this yet just creating a swatch holding it with another yarn. Im confident in the results however since I already have a scarf on the DK version.
Soft and beautiful yarn. The colours I bought are vibrant and go well together - Petrol, Erika and Blue Green
I intent to use then for weaving.
