Next step crochet: Book Bag Project

Do you love the feel of that new paperback and then discover the nibbled corners and creases in the cover when you take it from your bag?

If this bothers you as much as us, then we have a creative solution to this problem -  an easy-to-make crochet book bag!

It makes a great companion for your book or an ideal gift to accompany a book given to someone special. What a great way to apply your crochet skills and to prolong the life of your books!

To be successful in this workshop, you need to have a good knowledge and practical ability with the basic crochet stiches i.e. chain, double, half treble and treble stitches. And basic sewing skills i.e. be able to sew on a button.

All materials (except buttons) will be provided however if you don't complete the bag on the day, you will need a 5.0mm crochet hook at home to finish it up.

Techniques/stitches taught will include crocheting both sides of a chain, crocheting in a spiral, back post /front post techniques and creating buttonholes.
