Guernsey British Wool 5ply

A traditional 5ply guernsey style yarn made with 100% British Wool. Slightly heavier than a 4ply yarn, but lighter than a DK, this yarn could be used with ‘sport weight’ patterns. However, it is best when used for knitting traditional guernsey sweaters on smaller needles (2.5mm), creating a tightly knit fabric.

• Composition: 100% British Wool
• 250g cone
• Meterage: 219m/240yds per 100g (547.5m per 250g cone)
• Yarn Weight: 5ply
• Tension Swatch: 39 sts / 30 rows = 10cm on 2.5mm needles
• Suggested Needle/Hook Size: 2.5mm 

Care Instructions: Hand wash. Dry flat & do not wring.
