Neighbourworks luxury knitwear is hand-knitted in Britain by skilled people who want to make a difference in their communities.

Our collection is inspired by Devon. This beautiful place is home to some amazingly skilled hand knitters. Making the most of local talent and resources is important to us, and all our garments are hand knitted using the very best of British and local yarns.

Close-knit style: what it means to us

Neighbourworks is a not-for-profit community interest company. Our knitting groups help raise money for some wonderful local causes, but that's not all we care about. Our groups are important because they give people the chance to get together to do some good. 

In places like Devon, as with all over the UK, communities aren't always as closely knit as we might imagine. Sometimes people get left out - whether it's our age, where we live - it doesn't matter. 

And that's a shame. Because we believe that all of us have something to offer. Whether we're nifty knitters, yarn spinners, trendsetters, alpaca-lovers; when we get together and share our skills and passions, we can make great things happen. And not just things like beautiful knitwear, but even better things like friendship, solidarity, and feeling good. When we look at it like this, we're all neighbours really - and everything we need is closer than we thought.
