Earlier this month Wool on the Exe celebrated Worldwide Knit in Public day by packing our bags with yarn and knitting outside Exeter central library. The weather was kind and we had the most wonderful afternoon together. Sitting, chatting, knitting, crocheting and enjoying the outside.
It was smiles and relaxation all round. I'd go so far as to say that it felt medicinal to me! We all agreed that we should knit outside together more often. Beer gardens were suggested!
To celebrate the joy of knitting outside, particularly at this time of year, Wool on the Exe is launching a photo competition! From now until the end of July send us your photos, particularly alongside your stories, about knitting, crocheting and spinning outside. At the end of July we'll randomly select a winner to receive a £10 gift voucher to spend at Wool on the Exe.
